Today I am at the house here trying to organize a few things for tomorrow! Tomorrow I will be heading out to Los Rotarios to check out the progress of the beaders. Last Friday we had their graduation ceremony at the house and handed out kits to 3 of the 7 women so I am excited to see what they have created since then. Tomorrow afternoon I will be in Villa Catalina with Doctora Tania inviting the village to come to a charla (talk) on respiratory problems at the clinic on Friday. As part of our new preventative health education program, the doctors will be holding charlas a few times a month on different topics. I'm really hoping we get a good turn-out!
In other news, the love of my life has finally arrived! No, I didn't meet anyone...we got a puppy! His name is Tonero, he's a "yellow lab" and he's about 5 weeks old right now. We bought him last week from a guy on the side of the road. He was a little sluggish for the first week but now that we've de-parasited him, he's a lot more lively and active. But, the house training is definitely going to take some work! But, he's adorable and I hope t
He is so cute! I'm so glad he is parasite free now. Let's try and keep all of you the same way. I love your updates!
ReplyDeleteRachel, he is adorable!! Speaking as the owner of another yellow lab I HIGHLY recommend keeping your shoes out of reach for the next two years until he stops teething. Ask me how I know about that. Good luck on the housetraining. Labs are pretty smart dogs and if you stick with it religiously (no pun intended although it couldn't hurt) for a few weeks, they get the whole thing down pretty pat.
ReplyDeleteI love Tonero.
